Unlock the Cave level:
Throw a Pester Ball to your right immediately before reaching the end of the

cliffs and a red button on the ground. The Porygon will trigger the switch and
open the path to the Cave level.

the exit gate. It will self-destruct and open a path to the Volcano level.

hard to capture, and is worth a lot of points.
Hitting the switch on the
Valley level:
To hit the switch and continue on with the "Pokémon Sign" mission from
Professor Oak, wait until you reach the whirlpool where Dragonite can be found
in the Valley level. On the right side you will see two to three Squirtle's. All
but one will slide up the hill towards the Mankey that is at the top. Throw a
Pester Ball at the Squirtle so it also slides up the hill in Monkey's direction.
The Mankey will then be near the switch, but not on it. If you have time, take a
good photograph of it, then knock it back on the switch with a Pester Ball.
Getting the six Pokémon signs:
After completing the Valley level by hitting the Mankey on the switch,
Professor Oak will tell you to take photographs. Here are their locations:

Keep looking to your right, and it will appear right next to you and make a very funny angry face. You can get extra points for this pose.
When you pass Snorlax, throw a pester ball at Meowth. He will fall to the ground, stand up, stand on one leg and say "Meowth." Then he will flex like a body builder. It is not Meowth's special pose, but it is worth 1000 pose points.
Metapod:
Throw Pester Balls at the Metapod's in the Cave level and they will drop
down for a close-up.
Mew:
Use the following technique to get an easier photograph of Mew. Once in the
Rainbow level, pop Mew's energy shield by throwing Pester Balls at it. Then, use
the Dash Engine to keep up with Mew for a minute, then snap away when he turns
around to look at you. This must be done quickly before he returns inside the
energy shield.
Another technique is to hit Mew with a Pester Ball while it is chasing the energy shield. It will start spinning in place for a few seconds before disappearing. To keep it from disappearing, keep throwing Pester Balls at it. Do this through the whole level to keep Mew in front of you the entire time.
After the second time Mew flies at you in its energy shield, turn your camera to the left and up slightly. When Mew flies by it immediately does flips. Take a close-up of it in the classic curl position while its whole body is towards you, with the light will behind it. This results in a photograph worth over 8000 points.
It is possible to get a score of 10,000 points on Mew. It also may appear on the right side. If it disappears on the left side hit, it will reappear on that side. If it disappears on the right side, then it will reappear on that site. If it disappears in the middle, the next location will be random.
After breaking Mew's second shield, hit him with an apple. Do not hit him with a Pester Ball because it will not have any effect. This should result in a closer picture.
When you have popped his energy shield, use the Dash Engine to speed up to him. Throw a pester ball at him to get a close-up photograph of Mew that should result in 8500 to 9000 points.

Pidgey:
Go to the Beach level and play through until you approach the end. You will
see two Pidgeys flying overhead. Do not throw anything at them. They will fly
near a Meowth and do their attack. Take a photograph of that event to get extra
points from Professor Oak.

Thundershock attack for a better photograph.

At the beginning at the Tunnel level, you will see a Pikachu. Take a photograph of it and it will run. Take another photograph of it when it stops. When it runs an Electrode will appear and the Pikachu will jump and roll on it. Take a close-up of this scene for extra points.
Poliwag:
Throw Pester Balls at the Poliwag's in the grass at the beginning of the
River level. The Poliwag will run to another position. Repeat until they all
jump into the water. Take a photo of them jumping. Sometimes, if you throw an
apple into the water, one or two will jump out very close for a great
photograph.
To get a good picture of Poliwag, Pester Ball all three of them to last together. Then, when you almost below them, pester them out. With good timing and aim, you should be able to get a good photograph of all three of them.
Porygon:
Go past Vileplume's location in River level. Pass the Metapod's, then look
right when you see Psyduck near a lot of logs. Hit the wood-appearing objects
that are flying around with a Pester Ball and Porygon will appear. Hit it with
another Pester Ball and it will change into its original colors.
Psyduck:

appear from the ground.

Look towards the first Mankey near the beginning the Valley level. Something
that resembles a Kadabra will appear further down the level. It is actually a
Sandslash. Take a photograph of it when it goes into the ground for more points.
Get to the area in the Valley level where Sandslash, Graveler and two Geodude's can be found. After they hide, throw Pester Balls at the two Geodude's. After they fall, Graveler will follow. When it hits the ground, Sandslash will pop out. You can get a nice close-up of it as it appears for more points.

A group of four Shellder's can be photographed near the Slowpoke area in the
River level.

Play the Poké Flute in front of Snorlax in the Beach level to wake it up for
a better photograph.
Play the Poké Flute three times to get the best pose.

take close-up photographs, without them fleeing like the other Squirtle's.

turn blue and it will begin to circle you until the whirlpool appears. Staryu
will enter the whirlpool and come out as Starmie.
Scyther:
Throw Pester Balls in the tall grass in the Beach level.
To get a good picture of Scyther, throw Pester Balls at the first Meowth chasing a Pidgey while it is walking across the tracks. It should stop and fall down. Then, throw Pester Balls in the tall grass next to you. When Scyther comes out of the grass, take a few pictures of it but do not waste your film here. Ignore the Pikachu's. When you pass the Butterfree's, you will reach a stretch of tall grass. Throw Pester Balls into the grass and Scyther will appear. This is your chance to get a good close up of Scyther Note: You may have to try this more before getting a good photograph.
Starmie:
Start game play in the Valley level. When the first Staryu appears, it will
fly into the air and then start circling. Allow it to continue to circle until
the whirlpool appears. It will jump into the whirlpool and evolve into Starmie.

appear as if it were dead. Take a photograph of it in this position to get 800
points for the "Dead Pokémon" pose.
Hint: Faster points screen:
Hold B after you finish with a level and Professor Oak gives you points for
your pictures.
Hint: Too close for points:

size.
Hint: Too many Pokémon for
points:
Taking a picture that contains too many of the same Pokémon, such as ten
